MK Friends of Milton Keynes Hospital & Community rely on volunteers to help run their shop, trolley and stall, as well as fundraising events. We are always looking for more friendly people to join our team. It’s a great way to meet new people, learn new skills and give something back to the community. Volunteers find it rewarding and really feel like they are doing something worthwhile. Some of our opportunities include:

Fundraising is an important part of MK Friends of Milton Keynes Hospital & Community. Without fundraising we would have not been able to purchase all the items we have over the years for patient care.

MK Friends raises money throughout the year from its shop, stall and donations.
We are currently raising funds for the hospital's new Radiotherapy centre. So far we have donated £50,000 to the new unit which is currently being built and when finished patients will not have to travel long distances for treatment. The Radiotherapy Appeal is for £500K to improve the experience for patients providing dedicated areas for their well being alongside their treatment.
We are also raising funds for items to help patients within Milton Keynes University Hospital and the local community. Items bought can range from radios for the ward, physiotherapy equipment, chairs and medical equipment for both the hospital and in the local community.
