New Radiotherapy Centre!
At present the new radiotherapy centre at Milton Keynes University Hospital is being built. This will make it much easier for people with cancer to receive life-saving treatment right here in MK.
MK Friends is supporting MK Hospital Charity Radiotherapy Appeal by helping to raise £500,000 so that patients can benefit from more than just clinical treatment on site, and have a dedicated, calming space away from clinical areas.
The new unit will mean cancer patients at MKUH can have all their radiotherapy appointments and treatments closer to home instead of facing the stress of travelling long distances. We also want to ensure that we have everything under one roof, whether that’s chemotherapy, radiotherapy, diagnostics, consulting, or – thanks to this appeal – wellbeing.
We have already donated £50,000 towards the fundraising target but there is still a long way to go!

We are always raising money for other items to benefit patients in the hospital or surrounding area. We, therefore, have a general fund to allow for these purchases.
If you are in the healthcare profession whether in the hospital or community and you need items for your patients then please email info@mkfriends.org.uk or phone 01908 904034 so that an application form can be sent to you.
