MK Friends run a daily ward trolley service. It is taken round in the morning by volunteers. It goes out 364 days a year, the exception being Christmas Day.
The trolley goes round the wards normally between 8.30 am to 1.00 pm. Time of visit on a ward will vary from day to day. There are over 20 wards and areas to go round so it does take time.
We sell the following items to patients, staff and visitors:
Volunteers go round on their own and in pairs and they all find it very rewarding helping and interacting with the patients and staff. If you have ever been in hospital you will know how valuable the service is.
